Can you believe I'm half a year old already? Mommy thinks we've been in a time warp - it's been a whirlwind of activity, but the time has simply flown by. Seems like it was just yesterday that I came home from the hospital, weighing just over 5 pounds. And now, I'm a solid 15 pounds and Mommy can barely hold me without her arms getting tired!

Ask Mommy and Daddy and they'll tell you that my personality has definitely kicked in. When I'm fed and changed, I'm a pretty content baby. I'll be quietly observing all the sights and sounds (and sucking on the stroller straps, probably) when Mommy and Daddy take me out. When company's over, I like to watch everyone with an intent gaze and will sometimes flash a shy smile, but only Daddy can make me laugh and giggle with his funny games.


With personality comes quirks and I can be very particular about certain things. For example, DO NOT wipe my mouth in the middle of feeding me my rice cereal. I like to maintain a certain rhythm with my feeding (i.e. 1 heaping spoonful per second!) and don't appreciate unnecessary interruptions. When I'm being rocked to sleep, I must be held STANDING UP. DO NOT attempt to sit down - I can instantly detect a change in position and will protest. :-)

I'm really good at reaching out and grabbing things now. Anything that falls into my grasp will get munched and sucked on into oblivion. But sometimes, I just prefer to suck on my shirt. No fancy teething toys required. I'm loving my rice cereal and will devour that stuff, but I'm not too keen on green beans. I tried it the other day, and I dunno, I think it's an acquired taste...


I love my Bob stroller, and will fall asleep in it everytime (which is why Mommy uses it indoors too). I'm a pro at travelling in the car, and once in motion I will usually fall asleep in it too. I'm still very much fascinated by my feet. I just can't get enough of them!
